Coral Salon & Spa.

Coral Salon & Spa

Giveaway goody-bag by Coral Salon & Spa for the bloggers.

Coral Salon & Spa is an amazing, new, & not-to-be-missed Spa in the K-Town! The Salon opened it's doors for public a few weeks back. My first visit to Coral Salon & Spa was as a blogger on the launch of this new spa.
The salon is located at the upmarket area of D.H.A, Bukhari Commercial Phase 6.
It's one of the most spacious salons that I have ever visited. The salon is spread on a pretty big area.
The place is beautifully decorated I must say. The interior has been carefully and awesomely done.
It is a two-storey place. I was shown around the entire place and was totally really impressed with the setup.
The salon has a separate area for hair related services, separate area for pedicures and separate manicure stations, which no doubt are amazingly made! Pedicure station was extremely comfy and relaxing. Then there was a different area for make-up related services which was still under construction though, and there were separate rooms for facial and waxing services.
The place was clean and tidy and every corner was decorated with scented candles, flowers and different gorgeous art pieces.
Coral Salon & Spa also stocks Elemis Skin care range and has a list of incredible facials and hair services in their menu!
I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone out there who wants to have a quality time at a good spa with of course a good hot cup of coffee! :D

Review of Sedusa-Mini Spa.

(Picture Credits: Faryal Pechuho/Curls & Cookies)

Sedusa Mini Spa is a Karachi, Pakistan based salon/spa. It is situated at Khayaban-e-Ittehad, D.H.A. Karachi.
As the name says, Sedusa is a mini spa. The place is not very big but is pretty good enough to accommodate a moderate number of clients at one time. On arrival at the salon, I was seated in the waiting area and was given a welcome drink/juice. Shortly thereafter I was taken in without wasting much time. Sedusa-Mini Spa currently has some really good & budget friendly deals going on at their salon.
I took their Derma Manicure & Pedicure, Herbal Cleansing & Threading services. About the pedicure stations I would say, they weren't the most comfortable from what I have tried. Although the manicure stations were pretty good (since it did not involve keeping those water filled bowls on the lap which is seen in almost every salon here).
Sedusa Mini Spa has separate chambers/small rooms for services like facial cleansing, facials, body massage etc. Which is very good as this ensures client privacy.
I was a bit unhappy with the room where I was taken for threading. It was really small plus there were no table mirrors available, which are usually helpful while getting threading done. So every time I had to get up from my seat and check my brows in the wall mirror.
The salon was clean and tidy. Hygiene of the salon is properly taken care off. Staff at the salon is very welcoming, down to earth. They keep asking you for drinks/juices/tea all the time.
Oh and every Saturday Sedusa Mini Spa provides its clients with FREE cookies! :D

Nina Lotia Salon is located at Bukhari Commercial, D.H.A Phase 6 area of Karachi, Pakistan.
The salon celebrated it's first birthday on 14th October, 2014. Few bloggers and twitterati were invited over for a luxurious spa day at Nina Lotia Salon.
Nina Lotia Salon is located in a three-story building. The salon is pretty big with a very good interior decor and satisfactory hygiene. There is a separate floor for each kind of service. Like there is a separate floor for hair related treatments like blow dry, haircut, hair wash etc. Then there is a separate floor for body massage, manicure, pedicure and other likewise services and so on.
On arrival at the salon we were given a menu which included manicure, pedicure, facial cleansing OR a massage & blow dry with hair wash.
I have to admit that the Pedicure I had at Nina Lotia Salon was one of the finest I have ever had. The pedicure stations were very comfortable (which is not the case at majority salons here). The staff at Nina Lotia Salon was well-trained & with a very professional attitude. I was offered coffee and snacks throughout my pampering session.
Over-all from the the hospitality to the services offered to the professional attitude of the staff at the salon I loved everything. I would definitely recommend you guys to try Nina Lotia Salon if you reside in Karachi, Pakistan. You will be pampered like a queen I'm sure!

Review of Dressing Table Salon/Spa

I recently went to Dressing Table Salon. Dressing Table Salon is a Karachi, Pakistan based salon. For further info, queries & appointments please visit their facebook page here.
The services I got from Dressing Table Salon included:
Facial
Pedicure
Spa Treatment
Body wax

REVIEW OF THE VITAMIN C GUINOT FACIAL:
I was told it was one of their best facials, with amazing results and guaranteed glow. The receptionist said they will give me a skin consultation then decide if it's fine for my skin as I have sensitive and dry skin. After the consultation, I was recommended Vitamin C Guinot Facial.
The facial was really good, services, massage, black heads cleaning everything was really good. I was asked if I had itching, at every step. Loved everything there. But I specifically told her when she was scrubbing that do not scrub, as my skin can't take it and this will break me out. After which she assured me that she knew my problem spots over my face and she is not working over them. I kept insisting to not to scrub much as I felt it was abrasive on my skin.
Later when I got home I got really small pimples and redness all over my face, on the sides of the chin even on my nose and cheeks where I never had them before. I thought they will get fine till the next morning and used my daily night cream as a moisturiser.
The next morning, pimples were now medium sized from small, the ones we usually see when we get an allergy. And I am prone to allergies if a facial does not suit me. For the last 4-5months I have been getting Guinot facial from this other salon so I'm sure it was nothing to do with the Guinot products  because they do suit my skin. So I guess it was the technique that didn't suit me this time.
Now 2 weeks later, my redness, allergy has subsided and pimples are gone. Thankfully I can look in the mirror again and love my skin. I was also given a complimentary hands, arms & feet massage.

OTHER SERVICES:

Other services that I got done include: Pedicure, Spa treatments, waxing. And I rate all these 10/10.  They have relaxers for pedicures, which is a plus point, as usually the salons have normal chairs or sofas with tub/dip machines. The had a proper pedicure setup. I loved my pedicure there, perfect filing, nail shape and buffing and cleaning.

Hair spa treatment was done using mythic oil products by Loreal, it included hair wash then serum application, next came masque application which was done thoroughly in all strands, I was given proper head and back massage during which i almost slept.

Then I was taken for waxing, their body wax is really good, with minimum pain.

After it my hair were washed and I could feel the softness after mythic oil treatment. This treatment lasted me 5-6 washes, there was no frizz and I felt my hair being soft.

Overall, I will surely recommend Dressing Table salon. Unless you are going for facials and have sensitive skin.
Do try their spa treatment, loved every bit of it!

Professional Makeup Demonstration by Maria Salim.

(Picture Credits: Faryal Pechuho/Curls & Cookies)

Pakistan Beauty Bloggers Community provided an opportunity to 20 lucky members of PBBC (Facebook page) to attend Free Professional Makeup Demonstration by Maria Salim at Maria's Salon & Institute.
Yes, I was the 20th lucky member to get to attend the free makeup demonstration class by Maria. How cool is that?
Maria's salon & Institute is run by sister duo Maria Salim & Khadija Salim. The salon is located in DHA, Khayaban-e-Sehar, Phase 6, Karachi, Pakistan.
All the participants were expected to reach the venue by 12pm sharp. On arrival at the salon, the first thing that caught my attention was the decor & the ambiance. The salon has a beautiful interior. The staff was very welcoming.
Maria was very punctual about the timings and started at dot 12. Guess who was the model for the demo class? Our very own, gorgeous, PBBC admin Rabiyah Tungekar.
Maria Salim is a super talented, down to earth, Pro MUA. She knows her work really well. During the demo class, she shared different tips & different makeup techniques like layering, foiling etc. She emphasised more on the right technique of applying makeup, be that with local drugstore makeup rather than buying high-end makeup. The best part about her class was that she used all the drugstore makeup and created a breath-taking flawless look. From brushes, to sponges to makeup products everything was local brand, easily available & light on pocket.
Overall, from hospitality to teaching makeup everything was great and I loved being a part of this Demo Makeup Class by Maria Salim at Maria's Salon & Institute.

Special thanks to PBBC's (Pakistan Beauty Blogger Community) admin Rabiyah Tungekar for giving me & several others this opportunity to attend Maria's Professional Makeup Demonstration class.

Pengs Salon Review.

About Pengs Salon:
It is located in Karachi & Lahore, Pakistan.
In Karachi the salon has a total of three branches; Clifton Block 4 branch, DHA Phase 1 branch & Men Salon branch in Tauheed Commercial, Phase 5. DHA.
For more information & queries, visit their Facebook page here.

Review:
Availed the Hydra-facial deal at Pengs. I reached ten minutes before the appointment time. Was taken in within five minutes. Staff was very welcoming & down to earth. This girl named Amber did my facial. Facial room was clean, tidy and neat. Gown which was given to me was clean too, no stains no marks nothing. Place was SUPER hygienic & peaceful. Facial lasted for around one complete hour. Amber knew her work really well, I was pretty relaxed the entire time. Also, she gave me an amazing shoulder, arms, upper back & head massage! It was super effective & relaxing and honestly I didn't want it to end, ever! Hehe. Over-all it was worth every penny!
Also, today was the last day to avail this deal (sadly) as told by their receptionist. BUT the deal will be available AGAIN from 1st to 13th August. So yaay!
And, no I did not get this deal from dealtoday or lootlo.pk or any of those websites. It was sold out on these websites already. When I called up Pengs for an appointment earlier, they told me I can avail the deal without buying it from dealtoday. So for everyone who wanted to avail this deal but couldn't, they can directly go to Pengs, avail this deal and pay them directly! Cool, no? :D

A visit to H-Salon.

ABOUT THE SALON:
H-Salon is a Karachi, Pakistan based salon. Situated in D.H.A phase 6, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz. The salon is basically home-based.

The studio is pretty spacious & not jam-packed or glutted as is the case with many home-based studios & salons.
I decided to give this salon a try after a friend recommended it to me. And I must say that my visit was pretty much satisfying and relaxing.

SERVICES:
I decided to get a hair protein treatment, manicure, pedicure & threading.

The staff there started off with my hair protein mask first. My hair were washed and then the mint mask was applied. This girl gave me an amazing head massage, although it did not last for even five minutes (which was a turn off) but it was relaxing.

Then my manicure & pedicure were done simultaneously by two girls. They did a great job with my hands & feet. I am actually loving my feet, they're very clean & shiny. Nails are properly trimmed & shaped and glossy! So thumbs-up for that. Manicure was done nicely too. The girls did not chat unnecessarily, so that was a plus point too.

Threading was done according to my terms. She did not mess up my brows (thank God for that!) and i am satisfied with the end results.
Now the hygiene, the robe I was given to wear had wax-stains over it. My first thought after looking at it was ew! But then I enquired and this girl told me that it's washed properly and its just some fruit wax marks which were very stubborn and did not go away. So yeah I ignored the stains. Other than this the place around was clean & tidy. Ambiance was totally relaxing with dim lights.

Over-all I enjoyed my day at H-Salon & I would totally recommend it to all of you who're in Karachi to go & pay visit to this salon. I'm sure you guys would love it. Services are really good & thorough that too at literally throw-away prices! Plus the salon has some really good deals going on too.

Hair-Styling at Ireen's Signature Salon.

About Ireen's Signature Salon: This is a Karachi, Pakistan based salon. Located in the D.H.A. area of Karachi. For more information, please visit their Facebook page here.

REVIEW:

I went to Ireen's for hair-styling yesterday. Took an appointment before since they don't entertain walk-ins most of the times. I was supposed to be there by 4.30pm but I got late and reached around 5.40pm  that's pretty late I know. But, they were generous enough to still take me in (since they close by 7.30pm).
So moving forward, I showed their hairstylist this picture and asked her to do the same thing with my hair and strictly asked her not to put a lot of spray, since stiff hair is a MAJOR turn off for me. And she listened to EVERYTHING I told her!
I wanted a fish-tail braid starting with a loose braid from above. I don't remember her name but she did an amazing job! The picture here doesn't do much justice so you might not be able to appreciate the hair-style much. Also this picture was taken around 12 at night. So my hair stayed amazing through-out (considering this weather & humidity). Oh and all their styles are worth 1000Pkr.

Over-all I had an amazing experience with them! :D

A day at bluRain Spa & Salon.

bluRain Salon & Spa Review:

This salon is located in Karachi, Pakistan.

It was my first ever visit to bluRain today. After all the great reviews I read about it, I was very tempted.
So I decided to go for one of their facials (since their facials are the most-talked-about). I chose their Glow Facial for Combination Skin type. Also I got face threading and Basic Manicure & Pedicure.
As I reached I was first taken for threading. It was good. This girl named Sumera ( I think) did my threading and she listened to what I wanted and I was satisfied. Next I was told that I'll have to go for the facial. Since it was my first visit I was unaware of the fact that their facials are done in the other separate part of the salon which is on the first floor of the building. I was accompanied by one of their workers to the first floor where the other part of the salon is located. Honestly this was a bit turn off for me. Anyways then I was seated and given a form to fill which had details like name, contact number, mailing address, skin texture, pigmentation etc. I think the form is to be filled by all the new clients. Then proceeding further I was taken to this room where I changed and then their Aesthetician showed up and checked my skin with this magnifying glass and she proceeded with my facial. This lady is SUPER kind and an amazing person. Throughout my facial she kept talking to me and kept advising me on how to maintain a good skin care routine, what to use what not to use. She is someone who believes in spreading her knowledge and I found this thing extremely good about her. Also during the latter half of my facial, this other worker there gave me a good/relaxing feet & hand oil massage. It is later that I got to know that it was complimentary. With every facial/cleansing you get a complimentary feet & hand oil massage. A plus point indeed! :D
I was done with my facial in an hour and then I had to go down again to the salon for my other services. I then had my Manicure & Pedicure done. This lady named Soniya did my mani and Aqsa did my pedi and both were SO friendly and humble. They kept asking me throughout if everything was fine. Also, I was asked a multiple times for coffee or tea and then was served tea (which was also good :p)
Finally I was done with everything and it was time for the payment. I decided to pay via credit card. They tried charging the card but couldn't get through. This lady there told me that she tried it multiple times but probably the network was down or something & they couldn't charge it. Not that it's a very big problem but it was kinda turn off since I confirmed with them on the phone that I'd pay via credit card and they didn't object or anything and because of which I did not carry enough cash. Since I live nearby I called up and told my driver to get cash. But I think they should look into this, since a lot of people don't usually carry cash plus not everybody lives nearby. So to avoid any uncalled-for situation their card machine should be working all the time. Other than this I had an amazing time at bluRain today. The staff is SO SO humble and I was glad to see this. They keep smiling and they keep asking you for coffee/tea and if every thing's fine, so thumbs-up to that!

Now the ratings:
Facial 5/5
Manicure, Pedicure 5/5
Hygiene, Ambiance 5/5
Overall: 9/10 ( deducting 0.5 for the card machine malfunction and 0.5 for the facials being conducted in the other part of the salon located separately on the first floor of the building).

For more details, please head over to their Facebook page BluRain Salon.
