Loreal Super Liner Gel Intenza

Hello lovely readers. What's up? How is everything at your end?  Today we come up with another exciting review for our readers. For the first time on our blog we'll be reviewing a gel-eyeliner today! This is going to be one exciting post for ALL the gel-eyeliner lovers out there!

Today's review is on "Loreal Super Liner Gel Intenza".

According to L'oreal:

A long-lasting waterproof eyeliner with an intense and bold colour result. The high-precision brush makes application easy and creates a perfectly smooth line. An ultra-quick drying effect creates a smudge-free, dramatic look that lasts up to 24 hours.

My Review:

I have found my soul mate. I am the happiest person on earth. Liner is something I absolutely cannot live without, thus began my excruciating journey of finding the best liner there is. From liquid liners to pencil liners, I couldn't find anything up to my expectations. Then came Maybelline gel liner, and I was happy, but now not being ungrateful but after finding Loreal gel intenza, my Maybelline one has gone down the bin( it was dried up anyways).
The only complain I had with Maybelline gel liner was about it drying up. Thou it was amazing price wise at 1100 Rs, compared to L'oreal one at 1800 Rs.

I have only used gel intenza in black, so I can only comment on that. It is by far the most pigmented and smooth liner I have used. It is very creamy and applies like a dream. It lasts all day without smudging. Also is waterproof.

I like the brush too, the grip is amazing, and can be used for thin or thick line.

Loreal Super Liner Gel Intenza Swatched.

Points in Favour:

  • Blackest black:)
  • Amazing staying power.
  • Waterproof
  • Easy to put on.

Points against:

  • Expensive compared to maybelline one
  • For some people it might dry out sooner if you are careless about its cap.
  • People might not like the brush because its not angled, but i like it.

My Rating:
4.8/5

Availability:
Found mine at ebco for 1800rs at loreal counter, available at most stores around the city.

ROUGE ALLURE VELVET: LA FASCINANTE

ROUGE ALLURE VELVET IN SHADE: LA FASCINANTE

According to Chanel:

ROUGE ALLURE invents ROUGE ALLURE VELVET: luminous matte lip colour.

ROUGE ALLURE VELVET creates another way to wear lipstick. An alternative to shine.

Velvety soft and more comfortable than any matte lipstick before, it adorns lips with deep colours and an intensely luminous matte finish.
As moisturising as a satiny lipstick, it feels as weightless as a second skin.

One click releases it from its black lacquered case.

Review:

This range of lipsticks come in 8 different shades. Today the one I am reviewing is LA FASCINANTE, shade #38.

The packaging of this lipstick is very chic, and that’s what attracted me to this lipstick at first when I saw it at a chanel counter. Sleek black tube with golden magnetic click bullet, with interlocking Cs you click that and an amazing red colour lipstick comes out. To be honest, this lipstick is love at first sight.

The colour is a classic matte red with pink undertones, perfect for a night out, it can also be worn during the day if you apply it with a light hand.
I sometimes wear it during the day if I am going out somewhere, and always at night, it is my everyday lipstick, more like every night out lipstick, because of it being matte and non drying at the same time. Plus the colour ends up being so gorgeous on my lips, it does not make my teeth look yellow. In the tube it looks more like dark deep brick red, but it shows on my lips as a very beautiful everyday red.

The staying power of this lipstick is amazing too, lasts me hours before I have to reapply, that too only if I have eaten anything, and then when it is half on and half removed it still shows up as a very pretty deep pinkish colour.

The texture of this lipstick is very unique which I haven’t found in any of the M.A.C lipsticks either that I have used. It is matte and not drying at the same time, and glides on lips like a dream. Feels very creamy, and gives a matte look. It actually feels like velvet just as the name say.

There are so many ways in which this lipstick can be worn, wear it as a full red color at night with winged liner or just black liner. Wear it lightly at day time, dab it with a tissue for a more subtle look, or wear with a gloss for a totally different colour.

P.S All swatch pictures are in daylight.

Points in Favour:

  1. Amazing color pay-off.
  2. Non drying formula. Keeps the lips hydrated.
  3. Beautiful and travel friendly packaging.
  4. Click opening, so will not open by mistake in handbag.

Points not in favour:

Its expensive, but you are putting it on your lips so you would make sure its good quality.

Availability: Can be bought online from Facebook pages. I got mine from duty free chanel counter.

This is not a PR sample product. All reviews are honest and solely mine. Your comments are appreciated. Thank you=)

MAC Strobe Cream

Hello beautiful readers! How are winters coming along? They're pretty chilly and lazy for us hehe. Today this blog post is about a product "most-asked-about". In a lot of beauty forums I see questions being asked about this product and a lot of people seem to be clueless about it's purpose and function. And that is when I decided to review this product for my readers.

Today's blog post is about "M.A.C Strobe Cream."

What does M.A.C say about this product?
The ultimate quick fix for the skin. Super-powered with potent botanical; de-snoozes, de-stresses, moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin with a fully loaded vitamin zap and a mega dose of green tea. Brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants. Enhances the effects of light on all skin and in all lighting conditions from sunlight to spotlight.

Review:
I love this cream, and I don’t think I will stop buying this. It makes my skin super smooth and silk like. My foundation or powder glides on my skin because it gets so smooth, and the application looks flawless. It also hides my pores.
I use this everyday, some people might be confused because it has a little bit of shine, but don’t be afraid, it just has the right amount of shine to give that wake-up feeling to the face, it is not shimmery or glittery, it has this pearly essence kind of thing which gives this amazing glow and radiance to the face and actually also makes your skin look healthy and young. It has a moisturising effect on my dry skin too, like a hydrant for my skin with all the botanical and vitamins and green tea benefits.

The plus point is this comes out great on face in flash photography too, maybe because of the sheen it reflects just the right amount of light? Who knows and who cares, as long as it makes me look good =P
Moisturising but not greasy or oily is the catch! I usually use this before my evening or night makeup, because I use sunblock in the day. It hasn’t broken me out even once in the two years period. After I use this I just lightly dust studio fix powder on my face and I am good to go, because I get this amazing natural glow which I really like, makes me look like I have a naturally healthy skin and no makeup face which is the look I am going for most of the time. On my heavy makeup days I finish with a proper foundation and all routine and it is just used as a makeup base.
I love the packaging, it’s a very sleek, expensive looking pearly white cream bottle to squeeze product out in a very hygienic way with a black matte cap. It has a mild scent to it which I adore and it is not bothersome in any way.

How I use: I take very little about 2 hazelnut size drops and lightly pat on my skin. I do not rub it in. Just lightly pat is the key to make the maximum out of its benefits.
The other way is to mix this with your foundation and then apply, to make your foundation have moisturising effect and that would certainly tone down the shine too.

Points in favour:

  • Does not break me out.
  • Moisturises my skin.
  • It is healthy for my skin.
  • Makes me put less layers on my skin.
  • Gives a very natural glow.

Points not in favour:

  • It is a bit pricey.
  • Oily-skin people might not like the shine.

Availability and Pricing:
I got mine from Mac store in Dubai mall for 157dhs. But I am sure makeup pages on facebook can arrange one for you =)

Rating: I would rate this product 4.9/5
