Review: Clarins HydraQuench Rich Cream

According to Clarins website:
With its smooth, nourishing texture, enriched with boreal mulberry oil rich in fatty acids, this cream is for very dry skin and eliminates the feeling of tension associated with dry skin and ensures intense hydration.Apply in the morning to a thoroughly cleansed face and neck, adding pressure from the centre of the face outwards.

What I think:

For reference I have very dry sensitive skin.
This cream is AH-MAZING for dry skin. It is super moisturising. It's not lotion like, it's a proper thick cream, which I found was helpful for my dry skin, but it does not make skin oily, how I apply is, I layer it and pat it on my skin at night, its absorbed fairly quickly and does not form a layer of oil, which personally I like about it, so basically despite it being thick in consistency, its not heavy on skin. I have used it as a night cream up til now, it can be used in day too. But i do not use it because my sunblock on itself is fairly moisturising for my day look.
I also noticed this cream has a very nice fragrance which settles after a little while and it does not bother my sensitive skin.
I have been using it for 2 weeks now and I found that when applied at night, after I woke up I found my skin to be really smooth and hydrated and makeup application was flawless. After 2 weeks of everyday use, my skin conditioned has improved, flakiness has reduced and I can now say I am in love with this product =)

Availability & Price: I got mine from Scentsation at Farids for 7600Pkr.

PROS

  1. Moisturises and hydrates dry skin.
  2. Love the expensive looking packaging and glass jar.
  3. Love the fragrance.
  4. Love the thick consistency.

CONS

  1. People might find it pricey.
  2. Fragrance may not suit a few people.
  3. People might find the jar packaging unhygienic.

Rating:  For me I will rate it 9/10. Ill deduct a point for the price.

How do you guys curl your hair?

How do I curl my hair?

For reference: My hair is naturally wavy.

I use a pink iron wand by Yogi.
My iron wand heats up fairly quick. It just has on/off button, no temperature control.
The iron wand has a perfect barrel size and has a long cord, which helps in curling because I turn my hand a lot, and use really random positions:p
After shower I use a curling cream, by label M, and let them air dry or if I am in a hurry, I blow dry them.

I use a heat protectant from toni&guy right before curling. And garnier spray after I am done curling. The curls are long lasting and very bouncy.
Here is a step-by-step pictorial guide:

Products Used:

  1. Garnier Fructis Bamboo FlexiHold Hair Spray.
  2. Toni&Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist
  3. Label m Curl Cream.

Tool Used:

Yogi Hot Pink curling wand

My favourite brownie recipe:)

Today I'd like to share with you my favourite brownie recipe, that I have found over years of researching over internet and trial and error method ;)
I do not own this recipe.
I am sure if you make it, you will not be disappointed.

Ingredients:
 * 160 grams of dark chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa chocolate)
The better the chocolate used, the better the brownies taste:) So it's like you get what you invest:p

* 84 grams of butter

* 1 cup sugar

* Half cup flour

* 2 eggs

* 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method
Melt chocolate and butter in microwave and let it cool.
In a separate bowl beat eggs and sugar until white ribbons formed. Add vanilla essence.
Add the chocolate+butter mixture and beat until combined.
Fold in the flour with spatula:)
Pour in a baking pan with butter paper, I bake mine for 40-45 minutes on 200 degrees.
The key is not to bake for long, so they don't dry up:)

They should still be gooey and soft in the centre when time is up, the toothpick should not come out spiky clean:)

I hope you like it!
Do leave your feedback:)

Here is a step-wise guide from baking to eating;)

Melted chocolate and butter.

Beating egg and sugar.

Add chocolate to beaten egg-sugar mixture.

Fold the flour in mixture.

And Bella is tempted too.

Pour batter in greased pan.

The batter is so yummy that you will lick it!

And done

Enjoyyy!!!!

Exam Fever:)

EXAMS!!!! - A torture!

I hate exams! I think everybody does.
Exams make me sleepy, just the sight of open book makes me hungry or sleepy! I swear.
I am one of those people who don't study all year, but cram up a night before.
Not recommended, my readers:)
I am not the best person here to give advices but this habit of mine makes me panic a night before, and it's not a good feeling trust me!
I would suggest, study little but consistently all year, revision is the key to having good exams:)
Don't neglect your diet or give up on your sleep. Proper sleep and food before exams in mandatory! Other wise you guys will end up like me every year promising I will study from next year for sure:p

And a little gajar ka halwa while studying harms no one!
